Hope in the Hood

For five years Hope Church has been blessed to serve our underserved neighborhood children a festive Christmas celebration. A party with face painting, jump houses, gifts, food, concluding with a raffle off of bicycles.

A Christmas giving opportunity for Turlock’s underserved children.  Hope in the Hood was founded five years ago, and, initially, we were blessed to serve approximately 50 children in our westside community by providing gifts to celebrate Christmas. What began as an extension of one's love for another grew into fulfilling a vital community need.  Last year we were blessed to serve 386 children.  This year we are hoping to provide Christmas gifts to an estimated 500 children.

What is Hope in the Hood?

Hope Church  is an inner-city church on the southwest quadrant of Turlock that serves our needy community in many ways. We offer a food and clothing distribution ongoing, and an annual back-to-school event giving brand new school shoes, haircuts, food, and fun.

Who is Hope?

Many of the children we serve live beneath the poverty line, and do not have enough for basic supplies such as food, clothing, or for some, a place to live.  Some children may have a parent in prison, or are being raised by a single parent, or grandparent.  Except for the kindness of those that can help, Christmas can look very bleak.

Who’s in the “Hood”?

We are asking you to come alongside us through donations to help provide Christmas to the needy children of Turlock. We'd be honored to recognize your organization as a key supporter and provider in this year's Hope in the Hood, or we can keep your contribution confidential, should you desire.

Thank you for your consideration and contribution to help meet this need.  Your support will help children experience joy this Christmas season.
